mejo okon, contemporary western art

Always attracted by color and shapes, I use a bright robust color palette.
Color suggests heat, cold, movement, action, serenity, perspective, sequence,
position. I spend time studying my source image, whether it is from life
or a photograph, and analyze the shapes that make up the whole. I exaggerate
subtle colors and accentuate them. I think of my art as a puzzle. I see negative
and positive shapes. I break them down and put them back together.
