 My goal in photographing a subject is to capture both the nature of the subject and the moment in a way that it tells the story in the simplest way. I am not trying to solely document the scene, but rather I am trying to permanently record the particular aspect, quality and emotion of the day.  
   

Statement

Before I begin photographing a subject, I try to gather as much info from the bride, groom, and family before the big day. I will start by making an image with this in mind, and shoot what you want and add some of my artistic touches in some photos as well. As I photograph, I will experiment and try to capture the subject from multiple perspectives and with different lighting conditions. I will often not have the opportunity to catch that one moment or look again. So I'm often looking from experience or instinct as to were the perfect photo might come from so I'm ready to click at the right moment.
