Heirloom Illustrations from Your Favorite Photos

Sometimes the most precious photos are of those unexpected, candid moments that document an event or special time in our lives. My artistic passion is to take those favorite snapshots and turn them into unique pieces of art.

What process is used to make the illustrations?
I've been working with digital photos for many years. I use a combination of photo editing and painting software. I can either scan a hard copy of your photo into my computers or you can provide me with a digital file via email, on a CD-Rom, or through my Etsy shop. Your original photo will remain safe. I've worked with traditional art media such as oil paint and watercolor, but I've developed a passion for the creativity and flexibility available through today's digital software. Plus, my client's are guaranteed that their portrait will be a perfect likeness since it is done from the original photo. 

What are the fees?
 The prices below include printing and shipping.

8" x 10" - $115

11" x 14" - $135

16" x 20" - $ 150

If the image you are requesting is particularly complex, such as multiple people from different photos, complicated backgrounds, etc. the price would be an additional $30, but we would discuss that at the time of your order.

You have a choice of print sizes. The dimensions listed above are for standard sizes, but I'm happy to create your painting in whatever size you'd like. The prices would be comparable to the ones listed above and we would discuss that when you order.

Prints are printed professionally with archival papers and inks that will ensure that your portrait will last for a very long time.

What kind of subject matter do I paint?
If you have a photo you love, a painting can be made from it. I frequently paint images of kids, families, pets, landscapes. I enjoy combining images, changing backgrounds or customizing images to look like movie posters, sports memorabilia cards, aged photos, etc. Your imagination is the limit. I also digitally restore damaged photos.
